[Introduction]
Fishing is a VERY good money maker. You can make upwards to 100k+ an hour with
sharks at 90+ fishing. Its turn into my favorite skill in runescape and has helping
me recover from a scam. Fishing has many things to do, and this guide is
up-to-date with all the new updates and everything! runescape powerleveling
Fishing also is different then say mining. Sharks are faster then rune, and its
not boring waiting 10+ mintues for rune. With fishing, it does sadly get boring
but you can get around that becuase of the fact 1 click and you can surf the net
for stuff! You can even fish, read this guide, check on your runescape account,
and do it for a while! Its the best skill in runescape, and i love it! I hope my
guide helps you dearly, and you learn how to start on the road to 99 fishing,
and even learn a bit about fishing!

1. To start off, i will go through what you need, how much it will cost (if
anything.) First, you are going to need a bit of cash, if you want to get 99
fishing faster. But you can do it on f2p or members for nothing. I will also
go into how much cash you can make from this, you can make a LOT of cash if
you just fish for the right things.
2. Costs:
Feathers for 76-80+ fishing: about 35,000 feathers if you only want a little
over 76. 50,000 should be good for 80-85.
Now, buying them about 7gp each on the forums, thats 275,000 to about 350,000.
Fish 1k lobs and you pretty much get the money for feathers to 76 fishing.
Bait: Really only around 100, shouldnt be more then 500gp.
Thats what you'll be buying. Maybe a rod or lobster pot, but thats 1gp.
3. Getting the levels...
Now its time to get 99 (or 90 maybe) fishing! Starting from 1 it will be a long
road, but you can do it!
F2P:
1-20: Here its pretty easy. You will have to fish for shrimp, and you'll get
shrimp very slowly. Only fishing shrimp, it will take 448 shrimp. Thats about an
hour, give or take. But you can fish for herring at level 10. So you could fish
448 shrimp, or fish about 116 shrimp, then buy 112 bait and go fish for herring.
After herring, GRATZ! You can now fish for trout!
20-40: OK, now you've been fishing oh say an hour? Maybe more? Now you can fish
for trout, and this is what you'll be fishing for! Start off in the lumbrige
chicken farm with 1k, maybe more. Buy 700 feathers, maybe even 1k at about 4
each. With tons of low levels killing chickens, many will trade you. Now that
you got about 1k feathers, its time to go for 40, maybe more. Go to the fly
fishing spot in edgville or stay in lumbrige. After fishing for 656 trout you
will have 40 fishing! Stay here and get 60+ even up to 99... or go to karjama...
40+: OK guys and girls, your on a role! Get 60gp and go to the island of
karjma. Here you can fight big bad lesser demons or fish for tuna, lobsters, and
sword fish! To get to 60 fishing it will take a little over 3,000 tuna. Its a
LONG way to the bank, so get ready to run! Or sell it to the gerenel store! You
won't get much for them, but its better then nothing i suppose...
P2P:
1-20: Pretty much the same as f2p. Most members will have 30-40+ fishing by this
point, but it really doesn't matter. Just fish for 448 shrimp, it will take
around a hour. Switch to herring at level 10 after fishing for 116 shrimp. Get
112 bait and fish fo 112 herring. Gratz! You can now fish for trout, and man,
its going to be a long road, but you can get 99 fishing from trout!
20-76: OK. Get about 35,000 feathers and head to shilo village. Trust me, levels
fly by. I used over 25k feathers from
75-84, and i still have 94,000 feathers. It will take about 26,000 trout to 76,
and those 35,000 should take you to about 78, maybe 79. At that point you can
fish for sharks! And not that slow too...
76+ Keep on fishing for trout and salmon or try lobsters or sharks. Theres lots
of things to fish now, even give the trawler a try and get some sea turtles.
Other ways to get 99 Fishing:
62+ This is a new way to get 99 fishing. Just do a quest to let you get into
the fishing colony and you'll be able to fish a new kind of fish: Monkfish!
You can start fishing these at 62 fishing, but i suggust not fishing them until
80+ fishing. From 90 to 99 fishing, you can make well over 20 million gp by
fishing these! They aren't as fast as fly fishing, but much faster then lobster
and shark fishing. They are worth around 350 to 400gp each, and sell pretty
fast, so they're a good fish to fish.
To get to 99 fishing you will need one of these:
1. 106,000 sharks
2. 97,000 monk fish
3. 116,000 swordfish
4. 146,000 tuna
5. 129,000 lobsters
6. 233,000 trout
As you can see, you could make 106 million gp! Good luck on 99 fishing fellow
fishers, i'm 91 now! I would highly suggest fishing trout and salmon to 80-90
fishing, then switching to sharks. Sharks come very slow at 76 fishing, so at
least get 80 fishing. Good luck and good bye!
5. Money per hour ect.:
Want to know how much money you can you can make per hour? Here's what i make
per hour:
1. Sharks: I get 50k-100k per hour, thats 50-100 sharks per hour.
2. Lobsters: I have made 50k an hour, i could probly make 100k now at 99
fishing.
3. Sword fish/ tuna: Not sure. Email/im/pm me if you know
Thats the major fish that make money! I suggest not to cook fish, it will make
their prices fall, but then again free cooking xp thrown away? Heh its your
chose.
